What is Scrip?
SHOPPING CARDS from popular merchants you purchase at face value for places you already shop. Use for everyday purchases or give as gifts.
How much extra does it cost?
Nothing! A $25 card is worth $25 at the store.
How much does the PTSA earn?
PTSA earns a percentage of the purchase price which varies by merchant--see the order form. Funds will be used for much needed resources at HBMS.
Is there a benefit to me?
YES! 50% of the PTSA/Scrip rebate of each student’s gift card sales will be held in an individual account and used for their Washington, DC trip in 8th grade (or alternate school field trips during the DC trip week), or you may donate your rebate to a student scholarship fund. Families with 7th grade students can start saving now too! Reserve accounts will carry over from year to year.
How do I order?
Order forms are posted on the HBMS PTSA website, hbmsptsa.org. Print, complete and total the form, and send with a check payable to HBMS PTSA to the HBMS office (attention Terri Bair or Scrip) by the deadlines listed below.
HBMS PTSA Group ID: 603465HBM
Can I use a credit card to purchase Scrip?
Yes, online at scripzone.com only. Only gift cards with a rebate greater than 3% will appear on the ScripZone web site – Scrip retains a fee of 3% for all sales for credit card purchases, OR you may use your checking account. You will need to set up an account at scripzone.com, enter HBMS account 603465HBM, and choose your DC trip year (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). Scripzone account setup instructions are available at hbmsptsa.org or email Terri Bair.
How do I get my cards?
Cards will be ready for pickup in the HBMS Office about a week following each due date (or they will be sent home with your child with permission). You will be notified via email when your order is available.
