The Hollis Brookline Middle School PTSA's mission is to provide that important link between school and home. Students perform better when parents are actively involved in their learning experience. We encourage you to join the PTSA and to attend its meetings and presentations. It is with the help of committed parents that the staff, teachers, and administration of HBMS can give our students the best Middle School education and experience possible.

The PTSA meets the second Tuesday of each month, alternating daytime and evenings. Click here to join the PTSA.

Volunteer Opportunities

7th Grade Barbecue (June)

The 7th grade BBQ is a fun way for 7th grade students to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. The event that is sponsored and underwritten by the parents of the 7th grade students. The students will enjoy a day of picnicking, games and activities planned by the faculty.

8th Grade Celebration (June)

The 8th grade celebration is a fun way for students to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. the event is sponsored and underwritten by the parents of the 8th graders.

Front Desk Support (lunchtime sub)

Helping out in the nucleus of the school is a great experience. .

Library Aide

Assist HBMS librarian with books and data entry.

Nurse's Office

Assist school nurse with health screening in the fall or at other times during the year..

School Dance Chaperones (occasional)

Six adult chaperones are needed for each dance. Volunteer one time only or as often as your schedule allows.

Staff Appreciation (November, February, May)

Contribute a favorite dish to give our staff a richly deserved show of support.
